Benjamin D. Rinehart is an artist living and working in Appleton, Wisconsin (USA). His approach to color is intuitive and reflective, and his approach to printmaking is based on layering and unique color combinations. Benjamin’s socially charged work is created primarily with reductive printmaking techniques that are incorporated into pop-up’s and movables, in a variety of book formats. Currently he is working on a series called “The Boys & Bubs”.

Karen Kunc is an artist living and working in Lincoln, Nebraska (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive, nuanced and intense, and her approach to printmaking is traditional with contemporary innovations. Karen’s nature-based and lyrical abstraction work is created with color reduction woodcut printmaking techniques and she also makes artists books. Currently she is working on a new series of large woodcuts with metaphoric imagery, as well as a new series of small-scale etchings for a book project that is still in the incubation stage.

Eunice Kim is an artist living and working in the beautiful Cascade Mountain foothills of rural Seattle, Washington (USA). Her approach to color is monochromatic and her approach to printmaking is rigorously minimalist. Eunice's newest "Nature Stories" series finds material and inspiration in reclaimed wood.

April Flanders is an artist living and working in Boone, North Carolina (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive and expressive and her approach to printmaking is experimental. April’s intricate and often large-scale work is created with monotype, screenprinting and lithography. Currently she is working on a series of mixed media monoprints that address aquatic invasive species.

Nick Satinover is an artist living and working in Murfreesboro, Tennessee (USA). His approach to color is responsive and his approach to printmaking is luddite. Nick’s contrasting, accumulative and collage work is created primarily with lithography and woodcut printmaking techniques and occasionally everything else. Currently he is preparing works for delayed solo exhibitions and a series of loop-based guitar compositions which will be made into an edition of lathe-cut vinyl records (with accompanying printed material).

Ina Kaur is an artist living and working between cultures and continents. Currently, she is working out of her studio InkSpace in Bangalore, India. She approaches color instinctively yet consciously, and her approach to the printmaking process is with immediacy and control. Kaur's print practice uses processes like etching, relief, litho, stenciling, and blind embossment. Her works employ abstraction and simple rudimentary forms that allow the transition between tangible and intangible concepts. In addition to printmaking, her practice extends to include drawing, sculpture, installation, and collaborative art in the public interest. Her search continues into the ever-shifting, evolving notion of self within our existing cultural paradigms.

Anne Burton is an artist living and working in Lincoln, Nebraska (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive and her approach to printmaking involves many layers of atmospheric color and pattern. Anne’s intricate and vivid work is created with woodcut, screenprint, intaglio, letterpress and pochoir printmaking techniques. Currently Anne is working on a body of work called Inhaling the Spore. This work explores her personal experience with her son’s illness, hospitalization and surgery. On a broader level, the work is about how we think about illness, how we relate to our environment and the parent’s role as a child’s advocate.

Eleanor Annand is an artist living and working in Weaverville, North Carolina (USA). Her approach to color is grounded in subtlety and her approach to printmaking is somewhere between intuitive and analytical. Eleanor’s modular paper sculptures are created with letterpress and diecut methods. Currently she is working on large die-cut and cast paper sculptures.

Mary Gordon is an artist living and working in Manhattan, Kansas. Her approach to color is fueled by observations in her environment and her approach to printmaking is reactionary. Mary’s playful and layered work is created with monotype printmaking techniques, mixed media and collage. Currently she is working on a series of prints she calls "Shifting Landscapes" : observations of land and sky in the Flint Hills of Kansas.

Andrew DeCaen is an artist living and working in Denton, Texas (USA). His approach to color is technical and relational and his approach to printmaking is methodical and traditional. Andrew’s contemplative, detailed and sensitive work is created primarily with lithography and screenprinting techniques, through which he transforms drawings and prints into sculptural forms. The majority of his current work focuses on several interrelated projects related to rituals surrounding food.

Susan J Goldman is an artist living and working in Rockville, Maryland (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive, and her approach to printmaking is interdisciplinary. Susan’s bold, layered and elegant work is created with screenprint, relief, monotype and digital printmaking processes. She also works in three-dimensional digital print applications for collaborative dance performances. Currently Susan is working on a project titled "Look Again: Five Centuries to Five Seconds”, presented by the Printmaking Legacy Project ®. This interview project organized by Susan Goldman re-examines what comprises a print, how it and the process of art making has changed, and how hybrid printing methods and a specific interest in how photographic techniques have affected artistic exploration. Susan is also working towards the exhibition: "Black & Blue: New Prints in the Time of Covid” at Galerie Myrtis, Baltimore, MD in March 2021.

Taro Takizawa is an artist living and working in Syracuse, New York (USA). His approach to color is playful and experimental and his approach to printmaking incorporates a balance of structure and play. Taro’s intuitive, continuous and adjustable work is created with relief, intaglio and lithographic printmaking processes. His work also involves vinyl wall installations, site-specific murals and drawing. Taro is fascinated by patterns and repeated lines, and his current work focuses on an efficient and simple relief prints that incorporate a split-fountain flat, carved patterns and layers of ghost printed patterns. The gradients in his work are inspired by the sky and the reflection of the sky on water.

Leekyung Kang is an artist living and working in Pocatello, Idaho (USA). Lee’s approach to color is defined by the CMYK printing process in combination with a layered, analog process. Her printmaking and installation work is created through screenprinting, digital print, etching, relief and lithography, along with installation and video. Lee has navigated the structural framework and bone/skeleton of infrastructure in the urban landscape since 2014. By exploring the surface of spatiality such as construction sites and scaffolding structure, her work leverages architectural imagery with mixed media. Lee’s work seeks to uncover the unseen space, which is present, but never fully revealed.

Ana Bianchi is an artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay area (USA) in her home studio in Walnut Creek. Her approach to color is AnaLovesColor and she identifies as a printmaking phoenix–in that, whenever she returns to printmaking in her art, it is with fire and intensity. Her colorful, detailed and line-loving work is created with a variety of printmaking techniques, including: etching, aquatint, drypoint, chine-colle, xylography, linocut, rubber stamps and monoprint. In addition, Ana creates mixed media works on paper and canvas, and she works with digital tools and photography.

Ruben Castillo is an artist living and working in Kansas City, Missouri (USA). His approach to color is minimal and monochromatic, and his approach to printmaking is slow and meditative. His intimate, quiet and sensitive work is created with intaglio-based methods such as etching and engraving. Ruben also creates work in the mediums of drawing, video and installation, and his research has a focus on queerness and the ordinary. Currently Ruben is working on a portfolio of etchings titled, “One Week in Spring”.
